The Excursions

The excursions offered with the big rubber dinghy – ca. 8 meters long with a 225-horse power engine – will take you into the wonderful world of the East Coast of Sardinia, a breathtaking landscape that can be reached by boat only. During the boat trip, you will get the chance to admire stunning limestone caves, impressive limestone cliffs, beautiful nature and some of the most gorgeous beaches in all of Italy.  The dinghy hosts a maximum of 12 passengers and will be operated by an expert driver. All dinghies are equipped with safety vests for adults and children, a first-aid kit, a safety ring and a compass.

IMPORTANT: Do not forget to pack a lunch (sandwiches, fruit, etc.), and bring enough water, sun cream, a camera, diving goggles, etc. The dinghies have plenty of storing room for all of it.

Boat trips to:*

1. CALA GOLORITZE’ – also known as “The Mediterranean Pearl”, this bay is a natural masterpiece closed off to big or medium-size boats. The calcareous peak known as “Punta Caroddi” – a 150-mt-tall rocky outcrop that overlooks the beach – shapes in a very peculiar way the scenery offered by the Sardinian jewel.

2. LE SORGENTI - the sweet waters from the mountains meet here the salty water of the sea.

3. CALA MARIOLU – one of the most spectacular bays of the Mediterranean Sea, surrounded by a low- stones- plateau that protects it from the sea.  At this point a ca. 90 minutes-stop-over is scheduled.

4. PISCINE DI VENERE - the spectacularly colours of the water gave this place it's name "the pools".

5. GROTTA DEL FICO – characterized by stalactites and stalagmites that made it known worldwide.

   The price of the ticket to enter the cave is not included in the boat-trip.

6. CALA BIRIOLA – here it is possible to admire giant cliffs - 750 meter deep - embellished with a sandstone arch emerging from the water.

7. CALA SISINE – famous for the “Punta Plummare” - Sisine canyon - with its 415 meters it is the second highest sea cliff in Europe.

8. CALA LUNA –known for the numerous scented oleanders and for the beautiful caves spaced along the beach. Here an other 2 hours-stopv-over ist scheduled.

Throughout the trip other smaller grottoes will also be navigated by boat, part of which are: Grotta Rossa, Grotta Azzurra, Grotta della Madonna, Grotta dei Cormorani, Grotta del Fico, Grotta di Sisine, Grotta del Bue Marino, Grotta dei Colombi, Grotta di Biddiriscottai

For those who prefer driving by themselves we rent smaller rubber dinghies - ca. 5.10/5.50 meters long with a 40-horse power engine. The smaller dinghies can host a maximum of 8 people. It also offers storage room for luggage and swimming gear. In addition, a shade giving roof can be rented (it should only be used when the boat is not in motion).

All dinghies are provided with safety vests for adults and children, a first aid kit, a safety ring, and a compass.

The boats are situated at Marina di Orosei. You can park your car in one of many free-parking spots. Our stuff will give you more information after booking your trip.
